What types of molecules can be measured with ROA?

Short answer: Enantios ROA can measure everything from chiral small molecules with multiple chiral centers to oligonucleotides and peptides — and even up to proteins.

The technique and the measurement are the same, but how ROA results are used in each context is a bit different:

  • Chiral small molecules – determine absolute configuration or enantiomeric/diastereomeric excess, without crystallization or experimental references.
  • Oligonucleotides & peptides – probe the combination of primary and secondary structure.
  • Proteins & ADCs – look at secondary structure and confirm DAR, or structural elements of drug–linker materials when attached to an antibody.
  • Stability & degradation – ROA has also been shown in the literature to help determine structural degradation of antibodies and proteins caused by thermal stress.
